Are you and your students intimidated by Science? My goal with the Science Alliance is to inspire and motivate K-8 kids as they experience the fun and excitement that Science brings to our everyday lives.
I earned degrees in Science from the University of Wisconsin and taught High School Chemistry & Biology for ten years before creating The Science Alliance in 1990. After 18 years "on the road" my goal is still to get kids excited about Science BEFORE they get to High School.
With my passion for teaching combined with fun and
fast-paced presentations, I have seen fantastic results with thousands of students becoming interested in Science, participating in Science Fairs, pursuing further studies in Science and even embarking on successful careers in the
Science field. I know that children learn by doing, and so all of my shows involve 50 to 60 volunteers. I always stress safety and every presentation is 100% GUARANTEED to inspire enthusiasm in your students!
Sincerely,
Bill Bosworth
EACH PRESENTATION IS ALSO AVAILABLE AS A WORKSHOP
Chemistry - "Close Encounters of the Chemical Kind"
- Bringing Chemistry to Life!
A series of exciting demonstrations selected for their proven ability to stimulate students' curiosity. Explanations of atoms, molecules, and chemical reactions excite your younger students while middle school students enjoy more technical demonstrations & discuss pursuing Chemistry in high school as well as possible careers in the field.
Physics - "Lights, Camera, Action!" - Fun With Physics!
Developed for the S.C. Johnson Wax Company's Educational Series, this program has been extremely successful in demonstrating all the wonders of Physics. Your students will be swinging bowling balls, spinning on rotating disks, making tubes glow, learning about Doppler Radar and even riding a real hovercraft and jet-powered tricycle!
Environmental Studies - "World Works!"
- Understanding Our Habitat!
Students will learn about recycling & composting, the water cycle and acid rain. Endangered species and their dwindling habitats will be explored and edible landfills will be constructed and later eaten!
Science Fair Success - "Science Fair Survival"
- Taking the Terror out of the Science Fair!
Students will explore the scientific method, how to choose a Science Fair topic, record their results, write a final paper, and what the judges are looking for in a winning project.
Entomology - "Bugs, Beetles & Bookworms"
- Investigating the Exciting World of Entomology!
Fun & fast-paced insect safari investigating the life stories of butterflies, beetles, bees & more. Students will learn the parts of insects as they “dissect” demonstration models. They'll meet live insects and discover how their bodies are similar and different than their own.
