Elephant and Worm, Educational Theatre Company is a new theatre company from Chicago. We offer a unique interpretation of young students stories that lasts a lifetime and can be shared with ease. We start with a workshop that can be delivered either as an all-school assembly, or in a more intimate setting in the classroom, and take the stories generated from this experience and turn them into every students dream: Their own movie.

The ability to bring a high quality stage show into a school to help inspire and educate students in writing is an integral part of Elephant and Worm. We want students to see that writing and storytelling should be thought of as fun and exciting, not simply a task to be completed for school. The inspiration of a live show, performed in a workshop-style environment, inevitably leads to great stories from the students.

What we offer beyond that is a unique experience. We will turn one lucky students' story into a segment on our Online TV Show, EWTV. In addition to receiving a DVD copy of the episode, we will host the episode online for all to see. Friends, relatives, and anybody else will be able to watch their story online whenever they want. This not only creates an easy to share accomplishment that any family would be proud of, but we provide a copy to the school, the teacher and the student that can be revisited for years.

Elephant and Worm looks forward to what will certainly be a busy year of turning young students into movie writers, playwrights, and more!

Performer Needs: Our shows require an Auditorium, Gym or some other Multipurpose Room. We need drinking water for 4, a small students desk, a six or eight foot table, piano bench or chair. Writing workshops
