We are pleased you would like to join us for The Showcase. By submitting payment for Participation Fees and this Participation Agreement, you agree to the following terms and conditions, in addition to other terms and conditions listed throughout this Participation Agreement:
Attendees may receive a full refund up to five days prior to the event, and may receive a 50% refund up to the day of the event.
If you choose to cancel your participation or cannot attend the event, no refund will be issued. Performers who do not receive stage time will be refunded the full amount for stage time purchase, but are not entitled to a refund of Participation Fees. Performer will have the option to purchase advertising items from Premier Showcase (such as web banner ads or a spread in the Showcase book) in lieu of refunded credit. Upon purchasing stage time, the performer understands that Premier Showcase cannot guarantee stage time for The Showcase (stage presentations)Â and in that case will refund you the full amount for your stage time purchase.
You will receive a program for The Showcase and a list of attendees at The Showcase and a text listing in the program. There will be 25 performances scheduled for The Showcase. Performers will be selected for stage time by the Premier Showcase committee. Judging will consist of the following criteria: talent new to Premier Showcase, variety of talent, and quality of Web presence. The performance time on stage will be a total of seven (7) minutes in length and one (1) minute total for both set-up and strike time. Elaborate sets & long introductions are discouraged.
There will be no auditions for performance in The Showcase. Inability to perform will not entitle you to a refund of Participation Fees. Approved and scheduled performances may take place only on the stage designated for such purposes.
If you are an Agent or represent more than one talent each artist represented MUST have their own separate book listing -OR- online directory listing, one each comes with the purchase of your booth to be used by the Agency. With a booth Agencies receive a book & online directory listings which cannot be used for multiple artists. There are no exception, failure to comply will disqualify the Agency from participating at Premier Showcase, Inc.
Premier Showcase, Inc. will have sole authority over the eligibility of your participation in The Showcase and may suspend or terminate your participation in The Showcase at anytime. At all times Premier Showcase, Inc. has full control of The Showcase (stage presentations); ie. stage times, performance length, performer introductions and placement of performers.Â
Performers will NOT choose their own booth location this year. We will be placing the exhibition tables throughout the venue. We will be sure not to put similar artists next to one another. Artists may not change or exchange table spots without the prior approval of Premier Showcase. Performers may NOT distribute another artist marketing materials at anytime.
Premier Showcase, will provide you with official identification badges. We cannot grant you full access to The Showcase if you are not wearing or displaying official identification badges or beyond the access given in your official identification badges.
Booths at the Chicago Showcase will be comprised of 6 ft. X 30 in. tables, one chair per booth and a white linen tablecloth. The height of your booth may not exceed 6 ft. 6 in.; or interfere with exhibit hall sight-lines. If you rent booth space and desire your own special or custom lighting, audio/visual equipment, and other accessories you must provide them. Premier Showcase reserves the right to reject any arrangements of booths if the arrangement interferes with the flow, sight-lines or quality of The Showcase.
Set-up for the Chicago Showcase is on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Set up the day of the event will be from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Â
All audio/visual equipment must be used with headphones.
If you feature or include one or more animals, you must provide Premier Showcase with all necessary permits and you are solely responsible for custody and control of the animals. The only animals allowed are birds, lizards, rabbits and/or snakes. All animals must remain caged at all times.
You must ensure that your booth (if rented) is maintained, clean and orderly, that your refuse is deposited in available trash receptacles and that you cause no damage to the exhibit facility. Premier Showcase will be the sole and exclusive owner of all information and materials related to The Showcase, including participant lists, books and records, attendee or audience lists and information, trade marks, service marks, trade names and information about its operations and exhibitions ("Proprietary Information"). Sale, lease, disclosure, publication or use of any Proprietary Information by any person or entity, other than Premier Showcase, is strictly prohibited.
All equipment and booths must be removed from exhibition hall by no later than 4:00 p.m. Failure to comply may result in imposition of additional charges.
RELEASE AND WAIVER. YOU HEREBY RELEASE PREMIER SHOWCASE, INC. FROM ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE TO ANY PERSON OR PROPERTY RESULTING FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE SHOWCASE. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF PREMIER SHOWCASE LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF ANY KIND OR NATURE WILL BE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY PAID BY YOU TO PREMIER SHOWCASE, INC. FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE SHOWCASE.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Premier Showcase, Inc. and its shareholders, directors, officers and employees from any damages, losses or claims related to The Showcase resulting from your or your agents or employees misconduct or gross negligence.
